As a young woman, I was always athletic and competitive. Unfortunately, repetitive injuries and joint surgeries resulted in inactivity and weight gain over the years. I would describe myself as completely out of shape with no stamina or desire to do anything about it.
That was until I reached 64, three months prior to my 65th birthday. At my yearly physical, my doctor said I had pre-diabetes and I needed another pill for my blood pressure. At that point, I asked for 3 months to lose weight and make all of my numbers "right". Fast forward to today. I have lost 50 pounds after forcing myself to find a gym.
By the way, I am not self-motivated and knew I could never do it on my own. I never saw working out as fun.
I came across Alloy by chance. I must say that my transformation in the last year has crushed my initial expectations and goals. The trainers worked with my limitations, and I am presently in my best shape ever!
I found the other members to be super supportive of each other, and I actually look forward to going now!

P.S. I can do squats and a 5-minute plank now! I could barely move when I started!
